My Story

I've always been fascinated by what we're really capable of.

And I've never been satisfied with the idea that our best years are behind us - whether that meant rebuilding after injury, returning to sport, or learning to perform in a completely different way.

Background

I started skating when I was three years old in Scotland. I honestly don't remember life before skating. It wasn't just something I did - it was how I understood myself. Every decision, every routine, every dream revolved around being on the ice.

Then, at 16, a misdiagnosed injury forced me to stop.

At the time, I thought I'd lost the only version of myself I'd ever known. Looking back, I realise I hadn't lost it at all. I was simply about to understand performance from a completely different perspective.

For years, I stayed connected to the world of sport, building a career in international events and working behind the scenes at major competitions, while studying strength and conditioning, performance nutrition, yoga, and holistic health. But skating never really left me.

Eventually, I found my way back to the ice as an adult.

Coming back was one of the best - and hardest - things I've ever done. My body had changed. Life looked completely different. I couldn't rely on youth, endless training hours, or simply pushing through.

I had to learn how to train smarter, recover better, build strength with intention, and stop expecting my adult body to perform like my teenage one.

That experience changed the way I think about performance.

It taught me that becoming a better athlete isn't about turning back the clock. It's about understanding the body you have today, giving it what it needs, and trusting that progress is still possible.

That's the foundation of how I coach.

I work with people who love their sport and want to keep getting better - not despite getting older, but because they're willing to approach performance differently. Whether you're returning after years away, rebuilding after injury, or chasing goals you once thought had passed you by, I believe your best days in sport don't have to be behind you.

I'm still learning, still training, and still discovering what my own body is capable of.

And that's exactly why I love helping others do the same.

- WHAT I BELIEVE

The principles that guide the work.

01

Performance isn't about doing more. It's about doing what matters

More hours don't always lead to better results. The goal is to train with intention, focus on what moves the needle, and give your body what it actually needs to improve.

02

Your body is always giving you feedback

Fatigue, recurring niggles, confidence, energy, recovery - these aren't problems to ignore. They're information. Learning to listen to them is part of becoming a better athlete.

03

Recovery is part of training

You don't get stronger during the session - you get stronger because you recover from it. Nutrition, sleep, stress, and recovery deserve as much attention as the training itself.

04

Strength is the foundation

Whether your goal is jumping higher, moving more confidently, or staying injury-free, strength underpins almost everything. A stronger body creates more opportunities to perform.

05

Your best years aren't behind you

Getting older doesn't mean you stop improving. It means you train differently. With the right approach, there's no reason you can't continue getting stronger, more capable, and more confident.

06

I coach from experience, not just qualifications

Everything I teach is shaped by both education and lived experience - as a competitive skater, an adult athlete, and someone who's had to rebuild from injury and rediscover what performance looks like over time.
